Occupancy Reporting February 5, 2017 February 5, 2017 The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) requires agencies to report Occupancy data Total Number of Federal and Contractor Employees for Office assets Occupancy data from FIMS FY16 year-end Headquarters snapshot will be loaded into the OMB Max system Reporting will likely occur ahead of the deadline. OMB prefers agencies finalize their submission in late January 7

Key Points to Remember The FIMS fiscal year is extended until November 7, 2016. The period between October 1 through November 7 is just an extension of FY16. No FY17 dispositions should be archived in FIMS until after the November 8, 2016 Year-End Headquarters snapshot is generated 8

Key Points to Remember Any asset archived between October 1 – November 7 will count towards the FY16 dispositions as long as the Disposition Date is within FY16 FY17 Data Entries – No FY17 data updates until after the November 8, 2016 Headquarters snapshot is taken – No FY17 new assets should be added until after the November 8, 2016 snapshot is generated 9

User Account Review January 2017 January 2017 Headquarters requests that all FIMS Field Office System Administrators review FIMS account access Each FIMS Field Office System Administrator should : Run FIMS Standard Report #071 (User Report) Now reflects the Suspended status of a user account Review for inactive users who no longer require access to FIMS Delete users who no longer require access to FIMS Notify FIMS Support so that deleted users can be removed from the FIMS e-mail distribution list Requirement is driven by the FIMS annual Assessment and Authorization review which allows FIMS to operate on the DOE network 10
