Welcome Second Grade Families Here is what you can do while we wait to get started… 1.Find your student’s desk. 2.Try to find your student’s “Who Am I?” picture. 3.Sign ups for different things are on the back table. 4.Read the letter your student wrote you and write back on the school house paper.

Meet Mrs. Cook Education Central Washington University (Ellensburg, WA) - Bachelors in Education Masters in Reading and Literacy Graduated from the Issaquah School District (Briarwood Elementary, Maywood Middle School and Liberty High School) Professional Certificate from Washington State Fun Facts! My mom works here at Briarwood as our technology specialist. Just had a baby on the very first day of school!! Her name is Sawyer. Just bought a house close to Briarwood and have been doing a lot of remodeling.

Meet Mrs. Dean Education Central Washington University (Ellensburg, WA) - Bachelors in Education City University of Seattle- Masters in Reading and Literacy Graduated from the Issaquah School District (Briarwood Elementary, Maywood Middle School and Liberty High School) Professional Certificate from Washington State Fun Facts! Wanted to be a teacher since fourth grade Husband is a firefighter for the city of Kent Love snowboarding, wakeboarding and the Seahawks! Love hanging out with my favorite girl, Ryan (2 yrs. old)

Meet Ms. Melvin Education: Senior at Washington State University. Graduated from the Issaquah School District (Briarwood Elementary, Maywood Middle School and Liberty High School). Fun Facts: I love to draw, travel, and do anything that involves being outdoors. I want to teach abroad after graduation. I’ve wanted to be a teacher since third grade.
