Students participate in daily large-group language arts lessons. In addition, students practice skills at their own level during small-group guided reading lessons. Reading groups are based upon ability and are flexible to accommodate students’ changing needs. READING: McGraw-Hill Wonders Program

Reading Homework Reading Homework will be in two parts: –Spelling Words and High Frequency Word Practice For each week, students will receive a paper with both sets of words on it. This will be kept in the back pocket of their red folder. The sheet does NOT need to be signed. –Reading Story Each student will receive a storybook to read aloud each night. This book will most likely, but not always, be the same book we are using in group. The books will come home in a manila folder which should be signed each night. This will show me that you have completed both parts of the reading homework.
