1. H.H.S. in 2010 A New Decade begins with today. We achieve goals with P.B.I.S.

2. The Project: Students were asked to create videos for the Raider Way encouraging positive behaviors and negative behaviors in the hallways.

3. Your assignment: As a class, decide what should DEFINITELY have been included in the video. Limit the criteria to the 5 or 6 MOST important issues. Remember think: Respect, Responsibility & Involvement!

4. Your assignment (cont’d): On a ½ sheet of paper, decide how well each video meets the criteria by encouraging or discouraging these behaviors (if they are even addressed at all). Which one covered the criteria best?

5. The Videos Video #1 Give Video #1 your OWN score. Video #2 Give Video #2 your OWN score.

6. Class Vote: Get into groups of four and tally your totals for EACH group. Give this total to your Advisory Teacher or Link Crew Leaders. Which Video is the winner? Advisory Teacher—turn your class’ choice for winner into Ms. Sharkey ASAP!

7. The HHS Raider Way Short Film Challenge: Do you think you can make a video that can outshine the others? Collect a group of 3-4 people and create a video that would helps us all get on the same page about the definitions of the following behaviors:

8. Behaviors: Tardy Disruption Swearing PDA Fighting Inappropriate Dress

9. Think through: What’s acceptable and what’s definitely NOT? What’s “referral worthy?” What might only solicit a warning? You tell us!

10. The Guidelines: Be creative! Groups with the most creative ideas that hit the mark will most likely win. Keep it appropriate! Follow the handbook when creating the video. Vulgar or crude videos will not be considered.

11. The Prize $10 in iTunes gift cards for (up to 4 winners). All winners must be directly involved in the making of the film.

12. How do we enter our video in the HHS Challenge Short Film Contest? Turn a flash drive in to Ms. Sharkey or the main office (attn: Ms. Sharkey).
