2. Shepherds of God  They are SHEPHERDS. The Gr. word poimen is used to describe a particular kind of spiritual leadership.

5. Shepherds of God “Pastor” comes from the Gr. word poimen. It’s only translated “pastor” once in most translations in Ephesians 4:11.

17. Shepherds of God 2.They FEED the flock. 15 …Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon son of John, do you truly love me more than these?” “Yes, Lord,” he said, “you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Feed my lambs.” (John 21:15)

18. John 21:16 16 Again Jesus said, “Simon son of John, do you truly love me?” He answered, “Yes, Lord, you know that I love you.” Jesus said, “Take care of my sheep.”

20. Shepherds of God Shepherds provide a capable preacher and good teachers to feed the flock but they should also feed the flock themselves.

24. Acts 20:30-31 30 Even from your own number men will arise and distort the truth in order to draw away disciples after them. 31 So be on your guard!
