What is Reflective Leadership? Self Awareness - knowledge of self (in the moment and in the past) Observation - own behaviours and effect upon others Flexibility - ability to respond and interact with others

What Affects Our Ability to Reflect? Time pressures Crisis – personal, professional or way of being Not considering it a priority Fear Fatigue Don’t know how

Self Awareness Exercise Think about the day you had yesterday. What happened? Who did you interact with? How did you feel?

Self Awareness Exercise Choose an object that represents how you felt yesterday Find a partner and share why you chose the object and how it represents your feelings *You will not have to share this with the larger group
