Traineeships – the offer Traineeships are a response to: The Holt Review The need for Pre-Apprenticeship programmes Prepare 16- 24 year olds for work (initially 16-19 year olds from August) English and maths (for those who have not yet achieved GCSE C or equivalent) English and maths (for those who have not yet achieved GCSE C or equivalent) Intensive work skills training High quality work placement Could include: other education and training, vocational qualifications, mentoring, job search support and careers guidance Apprenticeships Employment Further Education Apprenticeships Employment Further Education English & Maths: Work Placement: Work preparation/ employability:
