1. Gratitude … the Right Attitude
Philippians 4:6 ...with thanksgiving (having gratitude in your heart), let your requests be made known to God;

2. Gratitude… comes from a grateful heart. Phil. 4:6,7
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving (having gratitude in your heart), let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

3. Gratitude… comes from a grateful heart.
Gratitude = means being “appreciative” or thankful of the benefits received everyday.
It means being thankful for God, good people, relationships and good happenings.
Research studies have been done with people on Gratitude and found amazing results.

4. Gratitude… produces gratefulness.
How well do you operate in the life principal of gratitude and gratefulness?
TODAY – First I am thankful for:
Our Veterans from all the branches of the service who have given of their time, physical efforts, risking their lives for this nation and for us! We want to Honor you today!!

5. Gratitude… produces gratefulness.
Gratefulness produces a culture of Honor and Thanksgiving toward others! It is Radical.
TODAY – Second I am thankful for:
All of you! For all of our Staff! For all of our Elders! For my wife and all of my family.
All of the ways God healed and touched people over this last week at the special meetings with Barry Perez.
This country that still has many great freedoms.

6. Gratitude… will produce a right attitude.
Gratitude – rocks.. and requires something–
Requires humility.
Requires a little effort.
Submits to the idea of indebtedness.
Children need to have a heart of thankfulness to parents, teachers, older adults.
Teenagers need to remember to be indebted to parents for all they receive.

7. Gratitude… will produce a right attitude.
Gratitude is a condition of the Heart and the Mind!
It glorifies God. Psalm 100:4
It defeats the devil. 2 Cor. 2:14
It opens up the heavens for miracles Thess. 2:13
Gratitude will open Heaven for you!

8. The Benefits of Living a Life of Radical Gratitude
It keeps you in God’s Will. I Thess. 5:18
It makes you better not bitter. Phil. 4:6,7
It honors God. Ps. 50:23 I Thess. 5:18
It creates an atmosphere for fellowship. 2 Thess. 1:3
It develops your faith and a pure heart Tim 1:3
It blesses you and others. 1Thess. 2:13
It is a witness to others. I Thess. 2:13

9. Gratitude… produces gratefulness.
Knowing Jesus as Savior … and the Holy Spirit produces a Radical Thankfulness and Gratitude.

Forgiven

10. Gratitude will produce a right attitude.

11. Gratitude will open the Heavens!
How to get started in Radical Gratitude:
Write down 5 things daily on paper or computer or phone that you are grateful for and thank the Lord for them. 5/6/10 rule.
Remember the good… more than the bad.
Learn scriptures/prayers of Gratitude.
Listen to your language, and change to language of gratitude.
The motion may need to start… before the emotion.
Fix your attitude with gratitude which will prepare you for communion.

12. Decide today to get your attitude over into gratitude!
The Holy Spirit will help you to do that.
To whom do you need to express gratefulness to today?
When will you do that?
Challenge: Can you be thankful and write down 5 things each day until Thanksgiving? For 17 days. Watch what happens!

13. Gratitude will open the Heavens!
Thanksgiving (gk) = Eucharistia = yoo-khar-is-tee'-ah
gratitude; actually grateful expressions (to God, as an act of worship): thankfulness, giving of thanks; thanksgiving.
