Spectator Estimates – 2012 The following are estimates from the America’s Cup Event Authority’s (ACEA) consultant AECOM for peak hour and peak day spectator counts. Days with no racing, less interest, poor weather, or other contributing factors will result in fewer attendees. Temporary Short-term Vacation Rental Ordinance Approved City has received and issued two Vacation Rental permits since yesterday. Letters have been sent to property owners who are currently listing their properties on Craigs List, AirBNB, and VRBO. Education and Community Outreach Recruit youth early next year Variety of educational opportunities to maintain their interest Bay Model -headquarters for these events. Partners: Golden Gate Tallship Society Call of the Sea (owns the vessel Seaward), Freda, Coast Guard Auxiliary

Education and Community Outreach Developing a Youth Race Committee – Recruiting young people to be part of this (6-12 graders). They would NOT have to have any prior sailing experience, but they could participate in such things as setting the race markers. Youth America’s Cup – race during the LV cup. There could be a tie in for Sausalito. Youth Sailing Ambassadors – There is a model from Rhode Island that we could follow. Basically these youths would be available to answer questions about the race and help direct folks. America’s Cup and Sausalito

Partnership with AC34 Event Possibilities Exploring Hospitality Opportunities Goal: To Provide a spectator setting that showcases our beautiful city and waterfront during the America’s Cup Events offering premium food and beverage.
