20.4.2006Konference NSK, Praha4 Act No. 179/2006 Coll. on Verification and Recognition of Further Education Results NATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS FRAMEWORK (NQF) The objective of the NQF is to create a system environment which will support comparability of learning outcomes achieved by different forms of learning, enabling the recognition of actual knowledge and skills regardless how they were acquired demands of the world of work are carried over into the education sector public awareness of all nationally recognised qualifications cohesion with the EQF The NQF does not replace present qualification and education systems, but attempts to make them coherent, transparent and unified.

16 Stage 1 – the creation of draft qualification and assessment standards by teams of experts coordinated by the National Institute of Technical and Vocational Education (NUOV) and a private company Trexima. 332 partial qualifications have been prepared so far. The creation of the National Qualifications Framework In progress for levels ISCED 3C and ISCED 2 in the framework of an ESF project until March 2008 Stage 2 – discussion of, appreciation of and adjustments to qualification and assessment standards in the Sector Councils. 252 partial qualifications have been discussed so far. Stage 3 – evaluation and approval of qualification and assessment standards by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports and other relevant ministries. 61 partial qualifications have been approved so far. The methodology and information system of NQF have already been created.

ADVISOR – portfolio creation (work experience and education, evidence of relevant key skills) ASSESSOR – recognition or not of portfolio evidence + verifying all remaining competences according to the assessment standard Advisor motivates and recommends further training - to gain required partial qualifications - to gain additional partial qualification – perhaps a complete qualification as well

22 The overall plan for establishing NCP Czech Republic was developed by NUOV and submitted to the Ministry of Education in April 2008 The Ministry of Education discussed and approved the plan (July 31, 2008) Preparation started in August - full activity begins from January 1, 2009 National Coordination Point Czech Republic

23 Structure of the NCP CR NUOV Workgr oup The goal of this group’s work is to provide the operational agenda of the NCP and to create an atmosphere conducive to the domestic and foreign activities of the point. Advisor y Group The main focus of the group's work is the consultation, methodology and assessment. This leads to important outputs of the NCP. Sector Group The goal of the Sector Group’s work is the fulfilment of a requirement in materials approved by the European Parliament and Council: to refer national qualifications levels to the EQF levels.
