Final Project *Students will create a personalized artwork, based on their favorite artist style, or art movement. Art piece can be a drawing, painting, print, or sculpture; media is also students choice as far as using pencil, colored pencils, markers, acrylics, oils, pastel chalks, on drawing paper, canvas, poster board, masonite board, etc. Nothing larger than 18”x 24” (smaller sizes 8.5”x 11” are preferable, for projection.) * Final project will be presented by students in a short in class presentation (no longer then 5 minutes); explaining the choice and reasoning behind project. A one page printed paper will be turned in with your presentation (basically what you will be talking about in your class presentation.)

Option to Final Project *Students can choose to write an art movement research paper. Include history and tendencies of the art movement chosen, the effects created by the movement on the society or the culture of it`s time and beyond. The movements major proponent, adding his / her historical backgrounds, and how their work may still relate in the works or minds of todays artists and to the general public. A minimum of 6 pages (not including introduction, bibliography, images, or end note pages if used.) *MLA format, 14pt. double spaced, referenced images, with foot notes or end note pages.
