2. Someone said I should think about Petrochemical but I don’t want to work in some factory. I want to make a difference in people’s lives. What kinds of jobs do I look at? JOB SEEKER I liked science classes and used to love the chemistry set my parents got me. Although I think they were sorry when I one of my experiments stained the carpet in my room. But it was cool! 6. I’d love to go to school for 4 years and get a good job. But I have to help my family now and can’t wait that long to start making decent money. What can I do that will get me working for a good salary soon? JOB SEEKER My dad was a machinist and I liked to see the parts he would make out of piece of metal. I might want to do something like that. What kind of jobs I can get that are like that? What kind of education do I need? STUDENT My spouse works 9-5 and I have a baby at home and have to take care of him during the day so I need something that’s not 9-5. But I don’t want to work in fast food or something. 8. I have some experience as a mechanic. But I’d like to work somewhere that I can work my way up the ladder. Any ideas? Help me understand what they meant. STUDENT My friend works in a plant makes loads of money. I know he didn’t go to school for 4 years. How do I get a job that pays a lot without going to school until 2020? JOB SEEKER I heard you can get a job that make tons of money without having to get a 4 year degree. Is that true? 10. I wasn’t really happy in the last few jobs I had. I’m thinking of changing careers but I can’t go back to school for years.
