The Kingdom Is Coming The world was wicked and would not accept Him. It crucified Him. His plans were thwarted, and He will return later. Plan B was the Church. Explain John 17:4.

Invalidates Old Testament Prophecies The prophets were wrong. God’s word contains mistakes. The kingdom would come during the fourth world empire. –Daniel 2:31-45 It would never be destroyed. Its King would reign forever.

Seeking an Earthly Kingdom They make the same mistake the Jews of Jesus’ day made. –Luke 17:20,21 –John 18:36-38 –2 Peter 3:9-11 The kingdom is spiritual— not physical.

The Church, a Substitute Church age—God’s Plan B. The church is not important. –Acts 20:28 –Matthew 16:18,19 –Ephesians 3:10,11 The church fulfills God’s eternal plan for a lasting, spiritual kingdom!
