9 R OLE OF UNMZ AS NATIONAL STANDARDIZATION ORGANIZATION Standardization process is manged by Department of Standards of UNMZ Department of Standards is responsible for technical standardization work and proper issuance and distribution of technical standards on national level and for cooperation with European and International standardization organizations (ISO, IEC, CEN, CENELEC, ETSI) Department of Standards cooperates with other parties in case of fulfilling of above mentioned tasks

10 R OLE OF UNMZ AS NATIONAL STANDARDIZATION ORGANIZATION Issued documents marked ČSN In 2011 about 1700 ČSN were issued Total number of ČSN cca 31000 56 % of International or European standards issued as ČSN were translated into Czech UNMZ holds 2 TCs in CEN CEN/TC 325 Prevention of crime CEN/TC 352 Nanotechnology

11 D ISTRIBUTION OF STANDARDS IN C ZECH R EPUBLIC Distribution of technical standards to the end users is provided as follows: ČSN online - Developed for UNMZ - Access to electronical versions of all valid ČSN standards - cca 26 000 users Contract sellers - Single sales Sale at UNMZ Information Centre - Single sales
