5. A Dry Day… A lot of moisture will evaporate, cooling off the wet bulb thermometer. The wet bulb temperature drops. 8°C 20°C Difference between wet bulb & dry bulb is 12 °C. (20 – 8 = 12)

6. A Humid Day… Since the air is humid, only a little moisture can evaporate. The wet bulb will not be much cooler than the dry bulb. 14°C 20°C Difference between wet bulb & dry bulb is 6 °C. (20 – 14 = 6)

7. Use the chart the same way as you used the Relative Humidity Chart.

8. The temperature to which air must be cooled for liquid water to form (condensation occurs). Dew point indicates how close the air is to saturation (holding its maximum). Dew point determines when precipitation occurs.
