1. Split, Demote and Outline View Overview Computer Literacy

2. Launch Word Document On your desktop Double Click Word 2013 icon Or On the Taskbar Click Word 2013 Or On the Taskbar Click Window Start Button at the lower left corner Then click All Programs Click Microsoft Office 2013 Folder Click Word 2013

3. Split the document Click View Tab on the Menu Bar

4. Split the document contd.. Click the Split button under the Window Group

5. Split the document contd.. When you click Split a horizontal line appear in the middle of the window

6. Split the document contd.. Then drag the split to its default position Split should below the paragraph that starts with. Note: Slow devices should.. and ends with…other network devices, such as routers.

7. Outline View the document Click Outline button in the View group

8. Outline View - Document This is the document in Outline view

9. Demote the Document To Demote the document Click anywhere in the Note paragraph Then Click the demote arrow under the Outline Tools group 4 times

10. Completed document Your document should look like this. Leave outline view open
