1560 Broadway, Suite 1700, Denver CO 80202 Financial Aid & ASSET ASSET IS an eligibility to pay in-state tuition ASSET is NOT a form of Financial Aid ASSET students are NOT eligible for federal or state funded financial aid (i.e. Pell Grant, Work Study, etc.) Completing the FAFSA application may be required for institutional/private aid and/or scholarships ASSET does not make a student eligible for other benefits offered by the state or federal government

University/college receives FAFSA (students can include up to 10 schools) Documents may be requested by school *Award letter notification Expected Family Contribution (EFC) is a number that determines a students eligibility for federal student aid. EFC formulas use financial information from FAFSA.

1560 Broadway, Suite 1700, Denver CO 80202 Types of Financial Aid Grants - free money that does not have to be paid back. - Pell grant: up to $5,730 Loans - Students can borrow money from the federal government Subsidized: 4.6% Unsubsidized: 4.6% - Parent PLUS Loans 7.2% Interest rate Credit check required Work Study - Federally funded need-based program; students can work on campus Scholarships - Free money that does not have to be paid back - Private donors, community organizations - Apply individually
