The Province has two capital cities : Zielona Góra – Seat of the local government The Lubuskie Assembly – the review body and for passing regional resolutions; Its head is Chairman of the Lubuskie Asembly. The highest technologies and products 10 LfC - „If we do …, we do it ….best! – is one of leaders in the design and manufacture of surgical equipment used in spinal treatment in orthopaedics and neurosurgery. Honoured with the prestigious titles of: - the Most Innovative Product in Poland (First Prize) - in 2007; -Golden Euro award in 2008. - LfC also gained a high position among Polish innovative companies. Since 2008 received a status of Research and Development Centre by Ministry of Economy. - Advanced Digital Broadcast (ADB Poland) ADB provides a diverse range of products to the worldwide digital television industry. Between 1995 – 2010 ADB sold worldwide over 15 million digital set-top boxes across all television transmission platforms including cable, IPTV, satellite and terrestrial. ADB's products are conceived and designed in R&D Centre located in Zielona Gora, western Poland - home to a team of highly educated design engineers, consisting of 10PhDs and over 270 MScs. ADB has over 200 patent applications to-date and a number ADB Poland of world-first solutions that have since been mass-produced.

Tertiary education centers - I Słubice - The Collegium Polonicum is a cross-border, academic institution which was jointly brought into being by the European University Viadrina and the A. Mickiewicz University. For 2000 students lecturers are led in English, German and Polish. 16 institutions offering tertiary education are in located in 9 towns of Lubuskie Province, but most important centers are in: Zielona Góra (5 centres including university) Gorzów Wielkopolski (4 centres) Sulechów (1) Słubice (1) Among institutions offering tertiary education are: university (5 years study) - 1 school / college of economics - 1 higher vocational schools (3 years study) - 7 branches of other academies and universities - 7 Academic teachers (2008/2009) - 1469 Students (2008/2009)- 27 605

The graduates are an important human resource for local business /including high-tech branch/, eductaion, public administration, finanse and insurance. Tertiary education centers II 13 Higher education institutions train students in several disciplines beginning with agriculture, then liberal arts and sciences and at last in computer scienes, nursing and medicine in plan to start from 2011/12. There is still no possiblity to study law in Lubuskie Province.

Kostrzyn – Słubice Special Economic Zone Kostrzyn – Słubice Special Economic Zone www.kssse.pl Since 1997 K-SSEZ supports and serves to country and foreign investors. The Zone offers purchase of land with full technical infrastructure as well as allowences and preferences. Alowences and preferences in the K-SSEZ Conditions of investing within the area of K-SSEZ Company benefits from exemption from income tax of its initial investments or employment costs /creation new places of work/. The conditions are: obtain from K-SSEZ a permit to conduct a business activity in the Zone, invest a minimum of 100 000 €.
