Ignorance is No Excuse for the Law Plagiarism is against the law. Though it is unlikely that a high school student will be arrested, college students and adults can get into serious trouble.

That’s a Good Idea… Plagiarism is not only for words, but ideas as well. Stealing someone’s idea without giving credit to the original person is plagiarism.
