2  PALS – Project for Automated Library Systems, based in the Minnesota State, Mankato Library  Developed homegrown ILS for state libraries and beyond.  In 2003-2004 supported migration to Aleph ILS

3  Establish January 19, 2007 by User Council  Charge: “survey and assess available, opportunities (and interests) in implementing discovery tools to enhance users' experience”  U of Minnesota Alpha Library for Primo, is that the right fit for us?  Survey says consortia members “overwhelmingly desired an OPAC enhancement over all sorts of other discovery tools”  Also “implement and assess a prototype implementation recommend appropriate improvements…and a path for future enhancements.”

4  June 2007 – started investigating fac_back_opac  Backup Web OPAC using Solr at Laurentian University  March 21, 2008 – starting looking at VuFind  October 2008 – MnPALS Plus in Production  February 2009 – DTTF disbands, MnPALS Plus Working Group is born  March 2009 – ODIN live using MnPALS Plus  2011 – Decided to go back to VuFind base  August 2011 – Bridge Consortia goes live  VuFind 1.2 implemented by MnSCU/PALS  October 2011 – mPlus live
