Your style & purpose guides the design… Convergence of big ideas in course + big issues in Indian Country Disciplinary focus Length, multiple parts? Format – print, nonprint style ie video Narrative Point of view Audience & knowledge base Teaching preferences

Strategies to get started Make the title a question Identify key issues or concepts Ask whether this would be of interest to others. Where might it be used? Many design decisions along the way….

Teaching Notes Include learning outcomes & objectives Background information References, additional resources Tiered discussion questions Suggested research projects Allow tailoring to different course space, audiences and goals Include assessment suggestions
