5 Sensemaking Students will create and present a graphic organizer to the teacher. The teacher will clarify, question, and make suggestions for additional information. When the group has refined their information they will re-present the info to the teacher.

6 Using information Students will communicate their information by a group choice of Powerpoint presentation, oral report, written report, or multimedia presentations to the class. Guidelines for Success Students will work with the teacher to create a rubric for each presentation choice. Rubrics will be developed in advance of groups making their choice. On-Going Assessment Completion dates of bench mark steps will be used to monitor progress of each group.

7 Workshop Reflections Working with a group is helpful to share ideas. More than one person from a site would be helpful to share ideas and work through the process. Getting to know other teachers from different sites Reinforcement of best practices/validates our thought processes Attached names to thinking processes We are looking forward to implementing the units in our classrooms
