Padre Nuestro En el nombre del padre, el hijo, y el Espíritu Santo, Amen. Padre nuestro, que estás en el cielo. Santificado sea tu nombre. Venga tu reino. Hágase tu voluntad en la tierra como en el cielo. Danos hoy nuestro pan de cada día. Perdona nuestras ofensas, como también nosotros perdonamos a los que nos ofenden. No nos dejes caer en tentación y líbranos del mal. Amen.

Demonstrative Adjectives: We use demonstrative adjectives to draw attention to where someone or something is located in relation to yourself! In English, the demonstrative adjectives are: this, that, these, & those In Spanish, demonstrative adjectives MUST agree in gender & number with the noun they modify.
6
Do you want THIS shirt? Remember that demonstrative adjectives are words used to demonstrate or “point out” nouns. No, I want THAT one!
7
Guess what: Spanish has THREE demonstrative pronouns! Do you like this t-shirt? ¿Te gusta esta camiseta? No, no me gusta porque es muy fea. Well….Do you like that t-shirt? ¿Te gusta esa camiseta? No, but I like that t-shirt way over there. No, pero me gusta aquella camiseta.
8
Using Demonstrative Adjectives: When objects are nearby use…. This (singular) =Este(masculine) Esta (fem.) These (plural) =Estos Estas When objects are farther away use…. That (singular) = Ese (masculine) Esa (feminine) Those (plural) = Esos Esas When objects are farthest away use…. That (over there) = aquel (masc. sing.) aquella (fem. sing.) Those (over there) = aquellos (masc. pl.) aquellas (fem. pl.) ME

Here are some memory devices: This and these have T’s. That and those do not! In other words, the words that mean “this” and “these” have T’s in them (este, esta, estos, estas); the words that mean “that” and “those” don’t have T’s in them (ese, esa, esos, esas). If it has a T, then it’s close to me. In other words, it’s touchable.
10

12
Demonstrative Pronouns: Demonstrative pronouns are also used to draw attention to where someone or something is located in relation to yourself. They MUST agree in gender & number with the noun they modify. The only differences are that demonstrative pronouns are used in place of the noun & they carry an accent mark on the stressed vowel!
13
