14 Spanish Language Immersion The ability to communicate in another language is an increasingly important skill in today’s global society. To become proficient in another language, it is important to begin learning at an early age. Ashley Elementary Global Theme provides an ideal environment for the Dual Language Immersion program.

18 Spanish Immersion Program Research shows that… –A–A second language is best mastered if it is introduced by age 10. –L–Learning a second language enhances one’s understanding of his/her native language. –S–Second language learning improves cognitive development and ability. –S–Students in a Spanish Immersion program perform as well or better on English standardized tests than those in traditional classrooms.
