Paranoid Personality Disorder Characterized by paranoia, and a pervasive long-standing suspiciousness and a generalized mistrust of others. Antisocial Personality Disorder Characterized by long-term patterns of manipulating, exploiting, or violating the rights of others. They also tend to be very aggressive and anger easily. Also sometimes known as a sociopath.

Schizoid Personality Disorder characterized by a long-standing pattern of detachment from social relationships. A person with schizoid personality disorder often has difficulty expression emotions A person with this disorder may appear to lack a desire for intimacy, and will avoid close relationships with others.

Narcissistic Personality Disorder Categorized when people have an inflated sense of their own importance and a deep need for admiration. Those with narcissistic personality disorder believe that they're superior to others and have little regard for other people's feelings. Dissociative Identity Disorder Dissociative identity disorder is characterized by the presence of two or more distinct or split identities or personality states that continually have power over the person's behavior.

Dissociative Identity Disorder Each individual has an “original” personality, which is their own unique personality. “Alters” – Each alter has a separate memory, and a sense of ownership over the individual behaviors of the body. Schizophrenia/Psychosis In which a person loses contact with reality. Symptoms include delusion, hallucinations, and thought disorders. 1% of the population is affected.

People with autism may: Be overly sensitive in sight, hearing, touch, smell, or taste (for example, they may refuse to wear "itchy" clothes and become distressed if they are forced to wear the clothes) Have unusual distress when routines are changed Perform repeated body movements The symptoms may vary from mild to severe. Communication problems may include: Cannot start or maintain a social conversation Communicates with gestures instead of words Develops language slowly or not at all Repeats words or memorized passages, such as commercials

Social interaction: Does not make friends Does not play interactive games Is withdrawn May not respond to eye contact or smiles, or may avoid eye contact Prefers to spend time alone, rather than with others Response to sensory information: Has heightened or low senses of sight, hearing, touch, smell, or taste May find normal noises painful and hold hands over ears May withdraw from physical contact because it is overstimulating or overwhelming Behaviors: May display tantrum like behaviors if wants/needs are unable to be made known. Gets stuck on a single topic or task (perseveration) Has a short attention span Has very narrow interests Is overactive or very passive Shows aggression to others or self Shows a strong need for sameness Uses repetitive body movements

ADHD Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder ADHD is a problem with inattentiveness, over- activity, impulsivity, or a combination.
