Beyond Competition Competition is inevitable Our main competitors are abroad or domestically well-served areas Our principle needs are rural/suburban Our general needs are well aligned and we share the same markets Western Canada is a stronger brand internationally than any single provincial brand Each province can still focus on their key defining attributes to be successful

Strategic Alliance Expand our share of the global market Promote each other when we can’t directly recruit a candidate Use our shared brand to “funnel” candidates to areas that are best suited to them. Develop an ethical framework – avoid active recruit from the most underserved communities Share key information to improve programs
