Problem? Chapter lacks coherent structure Positions new, not yet defined ◦ No clear reporting channels, no accountability, ◦ No defined responsibilities Implementing structure will allow for effective delegation of responsibilities from chapter president ◦ Last two years have been largely run by sitting presidents ◦ We have a solid group, need to turn it into an effective team

Solution Undergo transitional phase Current positions not elected/appointed on proposed grounds, so current titles remain Listed responsibilities may be divided Goal is to transition to proposed structure by year’s end, fully implement following elections in April

The Hamiltonian Weekly

What is it? The Hamiltonian Weekly sprouted from Max’s suggestion that the chapter sponsor a weekly newsletter Weekly blog or news email listing top news stories in both politics and economics ◦ Option for chapter commentary and/or online discussion Complements core AHS debates by providing a consistent service to the greater community between events ◦ Unmatched by AGS or the Chronicle ◦ Improves credibility of chapter as “the Foreign Policy guys”

Political Contributor Provide weekly content for the Hamiltonian Weekly on foreign policy and political developments, both domestic and abroad

Economic Contributor Provide weekly content for the Hamiltonian Weekly on economic policy and economic developments, both domestic and abroad

Three-Tiers of Membership

Leadership Consists of elected members Involved in running of the organization through specific responsibilities Eligible to attend any AHS event, including post-debate dinners
