OBJECTIVES Share school data in order to reflect on accomplishments and priorities for SY16 Engage in public Q&A regarding school data Deepen understanding of work done towards achieving the school vision

HSA – ACHIEVING THE VISION Vision – Hawthorne students will be intrinsically motivated to pursue opportunities for learning. They will be creative, independent thinkers and problem solvers, able to satisfy their quest for knowledge through all forms of collaboration and communication. Hawthorne students will contribute positively to their local and global community through their awareness of socio-economic and cultural diversities.

CPS SCHOOL RATING: 1+ (SQRP) All categories scored either a 4 or 5 out of 5 total points. Big gains in Math growth data. Attendance dipped, as did reading growth for DL students.

ASSESSMENT OVERVIEW Objective: Progress monitor our student outcomes in order to align our instructional priorities with differentiated student need. MAP Three different tests: MPG, MAP 2-5, MAP 6-8 All students take reading exam and math three times per year Inform in-the-moment teaching practices and progress monitor BAS Assess accuracy, fluency, and comprehension levels for students All students are BAS tested 3X per year State Accountability PARCC assessment Replaced ISAT in the 2014-2015 school year Public data still not available

MAP REFLECTIONS Celebrations Increase in average attainment scores in Reading (7 RIT points) and Math (12 RIT points). Highest combined growth scores yet (99 and 98) and highest attainment RIT scores yet Attention to subgroups has lead to large attainment and growth numbers for EL, DL, AA, and Hispanic students RIT growth averages more than 1 grade level and outpaces Network and CPS Concentrations Keeping consistent growth across grades and content Growth at +90% in all grades Closing the achievement gap in regards to average RIT
