3 20-3 MAVEN iPSR Oct 30-31, 2012 PFDPU Status PFDPU Integrated –Supported PF Suite Integration for EMC and Compatibility testing Vibration and Thermal Vacuum completed Most PFRs have been closed –All are resolved, a few still open pending system retest Operational Hours –Both PFDPU Section (Power Supply + Processor) > 500 hours –Both MAG subsystems: > 500 hours New Heater Filters < 170 Hours –Both DAP (SEP Electronics Boards): > 500 hours –LPW Boards (DFB and BEB): > 250 hours IC replaced on the BEB in October, 2012: < 10 hours Steps remaining prior to delivery to LMA last week of Nov, 2012 –EUV Calibration: 11/1/2012 – 11/2/2012 –MAG Heater CE/CS Testing: 11/3/2012 – 11/4/2012 –Magnetics: 11/5/2012 –PF Final Integration and CPTs: 11/6/2012 – 11/19/2012

5 20-5 MAVEN iPSR Oct 30-31, 2012 Changes since PER (1) Flight Hardware Finalized –Manufacturing details and circuit trimming documented via PFR and NCRs REG Actuator Deadman Switch Sneak Path Removed (7/2012) –Addition of diode to REG boards –PFR 85 implemented, verified via test IIB Instrument Power Synch Circuit Instability (7/2012) –Instability to “ON” Instrument when subsequent instrument turned on –Synch generation transient triggered Overcurrent Detect subsystem –Common mode side choke removed –PFR 91 implemented, verified via test

6 20-6 MAVEN iPSR Oct 30-31, 2012 Changes since PER (2) MAG Heater Filters added (9-10/2012) –Change instigated by EMC Test Failure (CE03 and CS101) PFR 108, 109 and 111 –External boxes housing EMI Filters attach to side of PFDPU –Built at GSFC and delivered to SSL on 25 OCT 2012 –Initial Testing verified functionality of MAG Heater Subsystems EMI Emissions/Susceptibility still pending LPW Electronics modified (10/2012) –Change instigated by Thermal Vacuum test anomaly PFR 124 At -30C, one preamp channel failed at 2MHz –BEB and DFB Boards reintegrated on 23 OCT 2012 –LPW CPT passed at ambient following reintegration –Cold case operation verified at LASP

15 20-15 MAVEN iPSR Oct 30-31, 2012 PFDPU Resources Power (@ 28V In) No Instruments On (REG + DCB) –Cold (30C): 130 mA –Room Temp: 100 mA (2.8W) –Hot (55C): 110 mA Inboard Instruments –LPW: 175 – 250 mA (mode dependent) –MAG: 150 mA –SEP: 200 mA MASS: latest weigh-in just under 8 Kg. (to be discussed later in Mechanical Presentation)
