Important Dates and Deadlines (Sept) Sept 1Apply for Awards & Bursaries administered by Douglas College for Fall semester. Sept 7 Last day to drop a course and receive a 100 % refund. If all courses are dropped there is a $100 processing charge. Sept 8 All classes begin, Late Registration begins Sept 8-14Attendance in class - students who miss their first class and do not notify their instructors prior to the scheduled start of the second class may have their seat in that course given to another student. Sept 20 Last day to drop a course on the Registration System and no "W" will appear on your permanent student record. Last day to withdraw and receive a 43% per credit refund. Important Dates and Deadlines (Oct) Oct 1 Deadline for Awards & Bursaries application administered by Douglas College for Fall Semester. Early Deadline for student loan application for Winter Semester. Deadline to apply for limited enrolment programs for the Winter Semester. (See Calendar for specific program deadlines). Deadline to apply for transfer credit to ensure credit has been recorded to meet course pre-requisites for Winter registration. Oct 12 College closed - Thanksgiving Day Oct 19-24 Mid-semester - students may obtain mid-semester standing from instructors during this week in order to make decisions about dropping courses by the deadline below http://www.douglas.bc.ca/new-students/registration-guide/importantdates.html

Financial Aid Important Dates and Deadlines for Fall 2009 JuneApply for your Student Loan www.studentaidbc.ca Once you are approved for a loan, complete a fee deferral form available in the registration guide at: www.douglas.bc.ca/newstudents/registration-guide.htmlwww.studentaidbc.ca www.douglas.bc.ca/newstudents/registration-guide.html August 17Fee Payment Deadline If you have not paid for your classes or deferred your fees to your approved student loan by this date you will be deregistered from all your classes. AugustAs soon as your BC Student Loan Master Agreement and Canada Student Loan documents arrive in the mail take them to a designated Canada Post Outlet (list at www.canlearn.ca) for processing www.canlearn.ca September 1Apply for Douglas College Bursaries and Awards
