STEPP Infant program started in 1998 to support teen parents Next STEPP added in 2000 to include toddlers and transitional families Licensed for 24 children newborn to 36 months Meets Title 22 California licensing regulations and adheres to over 2,000 performance standards Recognized as a Nevada County First Five Quality Program

Support continued education for staff in the field of Early Childhood Education Implement a recognized Infant Toddler Curriculum and adhere to California foundation standards Encourage the development of self-awareness, autonomy, self expression, and emerging communication skills Provide daily opportunities for each child to interact in a safe, loving, professional environment that helps foster secure relationships Support school readiness goals aligned with developmental assessments

STEPP/Next STEPP has served over 200 families and created many lasting relationships

Early interventions and special education services for young children with disabilities include: Pre-referral Consultation and Support Individual and Small Group Instruction Speech and Language Therapy Physical Therapy Adaptive Physical Education Occupational Therapy Behavior Intervention Services

Public and Private Preschool Inclusion Programs Provide a range of services in a student’s home preschool Services delivered by Speech and Language Pathologist, Occupational Therapist, Special Education Teacher or School Psychologist based on individual need Modeling and consultation provided to general education preschool staff Parent Participation Preschool Intervention Program (PPIP) Supports students with mild language or social delays Speech and Language Therapy provided in individual or small groups Special Day Class Preschool Includes students with moderate to severe disabilities Provides evidence-based intensive early intervention services Students have access to Truckee Elementary Preschool for integration
