19 Case Study James James a 19 year old university student was working towards a criminology degree with hopes of becoming a Law Enforcement Officer. The Problem: Although James was motivated and actively engaged in his course lectures, he was unable to keep up with his required readings due to ADHD/LD related difficulties.

20 So How did WYNN help James WYNN’s bi-modal reading system helped James to anchor his attention and better engage in reading activities. WYNN’s integrated study tool features were effectively used to incorporate active reading strategies such as the SQ3R Method WYNN centralized his working environment by reducing his need to manage multiple hard copies (note & text books) of his school materials.

21 Some Feedback from James Helped him to stay more focused during reading activities. When used on a lap top with headphones allowed him to easily study in public places. Helped him to easily apply active reading strategies. Increased his level of organization, no more lost/disorganized study notes. Greatly improved his test taking abilities via better information retention.

22 Summary Using SQ3R with WYNN enables students to easily apply active reading strategies. Increases organization of the study process Aids in comprehension, retention and mastery of curriculum
