Diet Green saw fish mainly eat fish that are smaller than themselves, they also eat Crustaceans and Mollusks.

Habitat Habitats in muddy or sandy bottoms Habitats inshore, marine areas,internal areas, lower parts of lagoons, estuaries, and shallow bays.

Predator/Prey Relationships How does it fit in the food chain? A green sawfish is a predator in the marine food chain.

Fun Facts -Green Sawfish is a ray with a shark like body. -The saw nose has 23-37 spikes -When males reach maturity they reach an impressive 403cm. -Sawfish are a greenish brown color with a white or tan under part. -The population of this species has been severely depleted and sightings have been rare over the past 40 years.

Why is a green sawfish a ‘’butterfly’’ species? Green sawfish is a butterfly species because with out my species there would be so many small fish and all the species it usually eats around the ocean every where.
