4. WHAT IS A RAINFOREST?  A Rainforest is a very dense,warm and wet forests.  Tropical rainforests are forests with tall trees, warm climates, and lots of rain. In some rainforests it rains more than one inch nearly every day of the year Back to contents

5. MEDICINE  From cacao (purest form of chocolate) we obtain cocoa butter used in fine soaps and cosmetics and in medicine for creams. The residue is converted into a powder (cocoa) and used for drinks. Chocolate is the most popular food made with cacao  The shaman or “medicine man” of a village typically holds knowledge of medicinal plants. The shaman treats the sick, often during rituals using plants gathered from surrounding forest. 
