Contrast This image represents contrast because of the difference in the colours (black and white) This image represents not only the contrast of colours but also the contrast of the spoons placement.

Balance This image is a representation of Balance because of its symmetry. This represents balance because it shows scales and different weights, colours and lighting that all go together.

Focal Point The focal point in this pictures is the flower. The colour grabs your attention because it is the brightest part of the picture. The focal point is easily the item with a hole in it because it draws your attention to it instead of letting your eye wander to the rest of the image.

Movement and Rhythm The image shows movement through the lighting and it shows the girls arms moving with a smeared effect making it seem more life like. The ripple effect in this photograph shows both movement and rhythm because of the movement of the water and the rhythm of the colours/ripples.

Proportion and Scale The way this picture was taken is angled more toward the top of the building, making it appear taller then it probably is. Also, the colour contrast adds to the effect. The size of the frog compared to the size of the finger are of great difference, therefore showing both proportion and scale through the size. The colour in the background compared to the focal point also adds to this.

Repetition and Pattern The repetition of colours and the design in this picture have great contrast. The black in behind the green makes the design more exagerated. The ripple effect of the water shows both repetition and pattern because it remains the same effect the whole way through.

Unity and Harmony The calming colours (blue, white) make this picture “serene” and very light. The effect of it continuing on past what we see also helps. The earth tones and water effect really make this photo harmonic through the idea of nature and calming colours.

Variety There is variety of colour, shape, size, balance, and a few others in this picture. It has different elements and proportion as well. There’s variety of colour as well as shape, size, and there is a good contrast of colour as well. A lot of balance in the sense that none of it actually matches, but it fits together.
