As commonly known a strip mall is also known as a shopping plaza /shopping center, or mini-mall) is an open-unit shooping plaza where the stores are organized in a row and build as a unit. Comprises of a pesdastrian side walk, usually constructed on the side or in front of the mall. With a parking lots design and constructed around it the mall. They are usually built based on traffic and the neighborhoods. INTRODUCTION

PURPOSE AND PROJECT TYPE To meet up with the community request economic growth;(demand & supply), and social development(infrastructure) commercialization, Job creation and Trade exchange To promote culture on modern and commerce Architectural style-project type : design build

WEATHER AND ENVIRONTMENTAL CHARACTERISTICS Location : Nigeria is located in the west of Africa The climate of Nigeria is considered tropical. It is comparatively dry along the south-east coast, hot and humid in the south-west and hot and dry in the north and moderate in the central. There are two major seasons, the rainy and the dry season. Nigeria is also subject to a dry dusty wind event called the Harmattan. Possible Hazards are as follows Flood – Fire –Rain –SEISMICS (WIND & Earth quake )

Location: The project will be constructed in Ibadan state few miles from Lagos and Ilorin state The adjusted gross Leasable area dimension:The site dimension is of length 330ft by 305ft wide is of land area of about 100,650ft² (9350.7 Sq.-meters) approx. 2.31 acres. Facility/Building land area: The building area dimension is of length 176.7ft by 170ft wide and is of land area of about 30,039ft² (2790.7 Sq.-meters) approx. 0.68 acres. LOCATION OF THE MALL AND STANDARD REQUIREMENTS
7
FACILITY REQUIREMENTS The mall is designed as a single level storey with a variety of convenience retail stores. Store dimension: each store is of land area of 83.3ft length by 24.4 ft. wide and is of area of 2032.52 sq-ft. The building is partition into 10 stores of equal dimension and it has two food service center designed with two public rest room for male and female Contain two Storage-room and two HVAC-Room. Expected population to accommodate: it may contain about 50,000-100,000 people at to go.
8
ARCHITECTURAL DESIGNING AND SITE PLAN Arrangement of the stores: The stores are arranged in rows They are design and built as a twin building but co-join symmetrically with a service corridor in between, as indicated on the architectural site plan and the floor plan see fig 1 below The site plan includes the pedestrian sidewalk at backside of the building or in front of the building and with large parking lots, see architectural site plan A1-Fig 1 and store-front description and site elevation drawing..see tables below

Structural designing Determination and Installation of re-inforced concrete Columns and steel joists Material type Concrete beam: Reinforced concrete beam was chosen because of low cost, as compare to steel but to wood, wooden material are less cheaper but of short durability That being said steel is more expensive and wood is of shorter life span but concrete is some how affordable and commonly use in the country for construction See fig 3 below
