Creating a Presentation Blank Presentation (layout options) From a Design Template From AutoContent Wizard

Adding Text to Blank Slide Select Text Box icon in Drawing Toolbar with the pointer tool by clicking on it Click and Drag to insert the text box Type text into text box placeholder

Formatting Slides Formatting Text Highlight text you wish to format To change font, font style, font size or color, choose Format > Font Note: you can also click on formatting tools on the toolbars To add bullets or numbering click Format > Bullets & Numbering or click on the bullet button in the toolbar

Customizing Slides Changing Background Color Format > Background > Choose Color > Apply Adding a Design Template Format > Slide Design Choose Color scheme or Design Template or Animation schemes

SLIDE TRANSITIONS From the slide sort view, select a slide to add the transition to or use Ctrl button on your keyboard to select multiple slides From the toolbar, click on the Slide Show < Slide Transition Select the appropriate transition effect. Specify whether the slide should advance when you click the mouse or whether it should advance automatically after a certain number of seconds.

CUSTOM ANIMATION From the Normal View, Select Slide Show < Custom Animation Within the slide, select the text or graphic you wish to animate. You may select all bullets or individual bullets Click the Add Effect button within the Custom Animation task pane and specify the type of custom effect you wish to add. You can apply an effect to the entrance or exit of the object, or you can add emphasis to the object or create a motion path.

Printing Options Go into the File menu and click Print to open the “Print” dialog box In the Print What text box, select what you want to print (slides, handouts, note pages, or outline view). Click the Preview button to preview how the slides will look when printed.

Inserting Clip Art & Pictures Click Insert < Picture Select Clip Art or From File From File - choose a picture you have saved on your computer or a disk Clip Art – choose from Online clips or clips from Microsoft office

Guidelines for Creating Presenting Effective Slideshows SPELLCHECK and PROOF DO NOT read your slides. Slides should be a reminder of the main points. Slides should be simple and consistent. One topic per slide Practice your presentation before you give it
