Missions : A religious settlement

Pueblo Revolt A fight between the Spanish and Native Americans. The revolt was one of the most successful attempts by Native Americans to drive out European forces.

What is the importance of San Antonio? One of the oldest Spanish settlements in Texas and still exists today as a major city. It also had the first form of government in Texas.

What was life like for the Spanish and American Indians in the missions? For the Spanish it was boring unless they were fighting. Native Americans lives included farming, learning the Spanish language, housekeeping and religious classes.
