1.  World Book Day is a celebration that takes place to help encourage and embrace reading. It celebrates authors, illustrators and books!  It is the biggest celebration of it’s kind.  This is the 19th year there’s been a World Book Day!  It’s not just celebrated in the UK, it is marked in over 100 countries all over the world.  It aims to help encourage children of all ages to start reading, and express their love for reading.
