There are various representative traditional Korean foods. In this presentation, I'll introduce some foods, Kimchi, Bulgogi and Chongguk-chang, in detail.

Among these foods I mentioned, I'll firstly explain about Kimchi which is fermented food. Koreans have eaten Kimchi since they created it in the ancient times.The kind of Kimchi is determined by main ingredient, so you can make various kinds of Kimchi such as Radish Kimchi, Onion Kimchi, and Cabbage Kimchi. Among all of Kimchies, Cabbage Kimchi is the most popular. Although Kimchi is very spicy, it is evaluated to have excellent anticancer element by a lot of experts. For this reason, nowadays Kimchi is exported to foreign countries I've heard many foreigners like to eat Kimchi.

Second, I'll talk about Bulgogi. Bulgogi could be made by diverse recipes. The secret of the taste depends on specific sauce. Many recipes using the sauce have been developed these days. Let me take a recipe using beef for an example. Rib of beef is served as a good side dish, and roasted beef chop is good to do lettuce-wrapped rice.

Next food is Chongguk-chang. Some people really don't like unique smell of Chongguk-chang. However, it is like a fruit, Durian, which is a little bit stinky for strangers. Chongguk-chang has excellent taste, thought Since it is a health food, many researchers have tried to develope various Chongguk-chang to make up for the only weak point smell. Particularly, Chongguk-chang has rich fiber and it has an effect on diet and prevents adult diseases such as heart disease, diabetes, and high blood pressure.
