© 2002 South-Western Educational Publishing Color The use of color enhances the effectiveness of a records storage system Color coding—the use of color as an identifying aid in a filing system (different colors used to divide the alphabetic sections) Color accenting—the consistent use of different colors for different supplies in the storage system (guides, folders, OUT indicators, and labels)
