HISTORY God promises a savior for all people Jesus (God’s son) lives a sinless life, and offers a pathway to heaven for all if they believe in him

NEW TESTAMENT The Bible is split into two sections Old Testament (39 books) New Testament (27 books) The New Testament is important to Christians because it contains Jesus’ teachings

NEW TESTAMENT Christians believe that the entire Bible is inspired by God Jews only accept the OT as truth, and believe Jesus’ was not the true savior

TEACHINGS During Jesus’s life, he performed many miracles and spoke moral teachings Miracle – an event that cannot be explained by scientific law; attributed to the supernatural

TEACHINGS Some of Jesus’ most important teaching came from the “Sermon on the Mount” Contains the moral guidance about love, anger, enemies, fasting, and the golden rule

GREATEST COMMANDMENT Found in the book of Matthew, chapter 22 Jesus said to love God with all your heart, soul, and mind 2 nd greatest: Love your neighbor as yourself

JUDAISM JEWISH HISTORY BEGINS WITH THE COVENANT ESTABLISHED BETWEEN GOD AND ABRAHAM AROUND 1812 BC, IN THE MIDDLE EAST. ABRAHAM IS CONSIDERED AS THE FATHER OF THE FAMILY OF JEWS. MOSES, IS ALSO AN IMPORTANT FIGURE AS HE GAVE THE JEWS THE TORAH AROUND 1250 B.C. THE TORAH CONTAINS THE LAWS OF GOD.

HISTORY Founded by Muhammad in 622 While in a cave in Saudi Arabia, Muhammad was visited by the angel Gabriel to deliver a message from God Multiple sects today

THE QURAN The sacred text for all Muslims Details the history and laws of Islam Written in Arabic within 30 years of Muhammad’s death Considered to be the direct word of God (Allah)
