Puppy Mills are a growing problem in the u.s. Definition of a puppy mill: Large scale commercial dog breeding operation for profit. No thought given to the welfare of the dogs Poor breeding results in dogs being born sick and shortened life.

Puppy Mill Practices Female dogs are re-bred constantly Lifespan cut in half Once they can no longer reproduce, killed. Puppies are born with genetic mutations

Puppy Mill Laws No laws have passed in U.S. Animal Welfare Act passed with many loopholes Shutting down a million dollar industry would be bad for the economy

What must be done We need to open our heart to strays Don’t buy puppies from pet stores Work to pass laws to regulate Puppy Mills
