Two different operating modes.... Operator Mode Press the power button to turn on the system Restricted amount of available functionality E.g. By default, most of the Installation Menu items are not available to the operator Manager Mode Press the Power button and the OK key together on start up (hold for a few seconds) Gives access to all the functionality Shows what features are not available to the operator

Hardkeys and Softkeys CB430 screen is not a “touch screen” so press the Hardkey to change the relevant Softkey

Data Card Door / Slot The data card is not recognized until the slot is shut

Blade Focus: Left / Right Dictates which side of the drum is reporting horizontal guidance

Direction Softkey Used to aid Single GPS Positioning Prompted for when first achieving a fixed position Select the direction that the machine will be moving first

H Offset – Horizontal Offset Allows the user to select an alignment (e.g. centerline of a road) for horizontal guidance Can also apply a horizontal offset to this line – e.g. 2 ft to the left.

V Offset – Vertical Offset Allows the user to set a vertical offset (above or below) the loaded design surface

GPS – GPS Accuracy Different applications may require different GPS accuracy levels. Allow the user to select the accuracy level required. More on this later…..

Setup Menu The Setup Menu is a series of menus that are used to configure the system Press “Setup Menu” key to access this area

Design Select “Design” to select the design you need to work to Use the arrow keys to highlight the design you want. Press OK to confirm your selection.

The system generates warning messages in situations where you need to take some action. The action ensures that the system only provides accurate guidance information. Flashing Messages
