10 Scenario After a week of rain throughout the state, on Sunday March 13 th @ 1000 a 6.0M Earthquake occurs along the Middleton Place Summerville Seismic Zone. The epicenter was located in Dorchester County, in the Town of Summerville, SC (32.9932 / -80.2148). This triggers several other earthquakes across the state of SC in this order: o 1200 a 4.0M, along the Great Pee Dee River, E of Pamplico, SC (33.9689 / -79.4922) o 1400 a 5.0M, in Union County just W of Union, SC (34.7133 / -81.7279) o 1600 a 4.0M, in Anderson County just S of Clemson, SC (34.6297 / -82.8098) Numerous smaller aftershocks are also recorded across the state that evening and through the overnight.

13 Recovery Seminar Overview The Recovery Seminar will utilize presentations to share insights on lessons learned from recent earthquake disasters and exercises to provide participants an opportunity to address recovery challenges unique to an earthquake during follow on breakout sessions. These sessions will be informed by expected damages and assumptions across time beginning at the event through 180 days. The breakout groups are organized to address our primary efforts. These groups are Health and Human Services, Infrastructure, Housing and Economic Recovery.
