2. Today’s Objective: Today we will be developing methods for finding the surface area and volume of cylinders! Reasoning together in team discussions will be critical today. Vocabulary: Volume - The number of cubic units needed to fill a solid. Surface Area – Total area of the surface of a 3-dimensional object.

4. 4 cm 5 cm 3 cm Surface Area: Find the area of each side of the prism! A = Length x Width 4 cm 5cm 3 cm 2(4x3)+2(5x3)+2(4x5)= 94 cm 2 OR (4x3)=12, (5x3)=15, (5x4)=20 - Areas of the top, front, and right sides (12x2)=24, (15x2)=30, (20x2)=40 - Areas multiplied by 2 (bottom, back, and left sides.) 24+30+40= 94 cm 2 Did anyone on your team have a different method?!?
