Mortuary Care Workers in mortuary care provide a needed service for everyone. Preparation of deceased Ceremony that honors deceased Provide spiritual support to living Cremation or burial of deceased.

Career descriptions Funeral director – main person dealing with the living and deceased. Embalmer – preserve the body with embalming fluid. Mortuary assistant – assist with preparation of the body. pg. 93-94

Nursing Careers Provide care for patients as directed by physicians. Care focuses on the mental, social, and physical needs of the patient.

Levels of Nursing RN – Registerd Nurse LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse LPN – Licensed practical Nurse NA – Nursing assistant/technician

Career Descriptions RNs duties: Work under direction of Dr. Provide total care to pts. Observe and assess pts. needs Administer and monitor medication Teach, supervise, and report to various people.

LPNs / LVNs Work under supervision of physician and RNs. Provide pt. care requiring technical knowledge but not at the level of education required of RNs. Duties mandated by state laws
