Organizational Work Responsibilities for problems and concerns at all levels- all these invisible matters that must be done before everything else. Such as: The Library Committee approved library plans, expenditures and staff positions. The Library strategy for 2013-2016 was approved by the University Library Committee, Academic Council and University Council. Prepared documents for: Policy formation and development of the library collection Library regulations and rules Instructions for book & fixed asset write-off

Reference Services Manages E-resources, print books, media (DVDs, audiobooks, CDs), and periodicals. Media section organization: Newsletter Roadshows 1,810 total DVD circulation Open access display increased the circulation of the periodicals to 141 titles 47 on site weekly workshops for students and faculty/staff Interlibrary Loan: 299 titles delivered to the faculty

Professional Development 4 librarians received the Diploma of professional training in the field of "Library-Information Services" from Chelyabinsk State Academy of Culture and Arts. 6 librarians received a Certificate of Participation in a training program about “Best Practices in Library Services” that was led by UW-Madison Memorial Library staff and offered as part of the Phase III collaboration and partnership between UW-Madison and Nazarbayev University. All staff took part in organizing a seminar in NU Library, "Library Connect: Emerging Global Trends in University Library Development" during the II Eurasian Higher Education Leaders Forum, 12-13 June 2013

Marketing The library has used different ways to promote Reading and the library image in the University community. 2 Roadshows Reading club "One University one book” campaign Poetry day Movie club Social media: 858 posts on Facebook Library Portal 369 on Twitter

Plans for 2014 E-resources for new graduate programs plus the launch of the medical school the library will need to acquire more specific e-resources and databases Improve our library electronic management system (Portal, Electronic Catalog Search..) Build a library presence in the Virtual Learning Management System: Moodle Embedded librarians LibGuides interactive Chat services
