Unit 28: Athletes Lifestyle P2 describe the importance of appropriate behaviour for athletes M2 explain the importance D2 justify the importance for athletes.

3 Conduct during competition and training
Can you think of any incidences in your training sessions or competition when someone has misbehaved or acted inappropriately? What sanctions were imposed if any? How did this affect the relationship with peers and the club?

4 Equal Opportunities What is meant by equal opportunities?
Can you think of any incidences where equal opportunities were/are not taken into account?

5 Appropriate Role Models
Sports role models should not only be outstanding in their specific sport but they should also be a positive person. Since they have an impact on their fans because of their fame, they should also possess behaviours that are of strong character. Remember that there is more than being a role model than that they are just good at their sport.

12 TASK Appropriate behaviour means an athlete should be working for the good of the sport during leisure time rest, relaxation and good diet are important while working towards some of the factors mentioned in the slides above. Write in your own words the importance of appropriate behaviour for an athlete.
