2 2 TISP is a thematic network supported by the European Commission within the ICT PSP program. It aims at fostering the meeting between publishing companies and ICT enterprises, in order to stimulate new partnerships and business models. The issue Fill the gap between publishing and ICT industries, making available expertise and tools on innovation and technology to publishing industry Key objectives Fostering business innovation in publishing and ICT sector, through sharing knowledge and analysis of market trends and benchmarking with existing business cases Supporting policy innovation at national and EU level, through provision of policy recommendations elaborated jointly by the two communities Duration 3 years: January 2013 - December 2015 A brief introduction

7 7 Smart Book An informative online resource which gathers materials resulting from the network activities. It is an instrument of update for professionals of both the sectors and a reference about subjects dealing with innovation in European publishing. Political recommendations resulting from feedbacks of the TISP events, political recommendations elaborated by the umbrella organizations (FEP and DE) will be addressed to the institutions, at national and European level. 9 9 How to get involved in TISP? by sharing business cases, reports from events, in-depht analysis which will be featured in the TISP Smart Book by attending the events, which occur on the whole European territory by participating to the discussion on the dedicated Linkedin group Everybody interested in collaboration between publishers and ICT can contribute to TISP and take advantage from it. TISP activities are open to ICT and publishing companies, professionals of both sectors, policy makers, researchers. Getting involved
